I think its that its only if Venom doesent eat he consumes eddies organs so as long as he keeps eating bad guys hes fine.

Also this movie was lopsided as hell. First act way too long and dull, middle act decent, third act a mess. It felt like it finished as soon as it finally started getting anywhere.
