I tried to do tacos near my local polling station in 2016. You need a fairly detailed permit from the city and you have to cook anything not packaged in a commercial kitchen. Can't just set up a BBQ and go. :/

Apparently in Australia they have "democracy sausages" near a bunch of polling locations, bunch of local nonprofits go and do BBQs near polling locations, people compare which places are offering what kind of snacks on social media and such.

Google your local League of Women Voters. They should have a voting guide uploaded that includes statements by all the candidates, and statements for various issues on the ballots by any interested parties that care enough to submit them.

It's addressed to the previous tenant, and entirely in Spanish. Gotta figure out how to request one...I'm registered at this address, so apparently that's not good enough.

Google "league of women voters" plus your state. They will have a voters guide you can download.
