Yes, you can absolutely not start Peterman nor have him on the active roster, what the hell are you doing.

He is not a capable NFL QB, and every pass he throws just gets him closer to setting more worst of all time marks.

Had he played, would Christian Hackenberg be worse than Nathan Peterman?

I'll say no, only because he wouldn't have been accurate enough to be intercepted on 12% of his pass attempts.

Peterman's career numbers are worse then just hucking the ball into the dirt on every single snap, so I think we can say the Hack would be better

Mariota had 5 dropbacks in Ravens territory on sunday and every one of them was a sack.

https://www.footballoutsiders.com/quick-reads/2018/week-6-quick-reads

Brock is also #1 in DYAR for the week:

quote:

Our top two quarterbacks this week had radically different opponent adjustments. Brock Osweiler gained 41 DYAR due to playing the Bears, the biggest boost of any quarterback this week. Matt Ryan lost 58 DYAR for playing the Buccaneers, more than twice as much as any other quarterback. Osweiler got a lot of help from his receivers; 268 of his 380 passing yards came after the catch. That's the most YAC for any quarterback in a game this season. He averaged 9.57 YAC per completion, second-most this year behind Jimmy Garoppolo's 9.60 against the Vikings in Week 1.

and

quote:

#31 Deshaun Watson
In five plays wrapped around halftime, Watson had this sequence: sack-fumble, interception, incompletion, interception, sack. He had two more sack-fumbles in the second half. On third downs, he went 4-of-9 for 49 yards with one conversion, two interceptions, two sacks, and a fumble.

NFL to review Dolphins reporting of Tannehill injury

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000975291/article/nfl-to-review-dolphins-reporting-of-tannehill-injury

Don't the Pats play injury roulette every week by listing players who are clearly going to play as questionable? I mean, anyone who plays fantasy football sees that week in week out.

Not that anything will come of this but seriously, what's the point?

Gambling. That and fantasy football are gigantic industries that rely on that data.

And a number of years back the NFL changed the rules that listed out the requirements, and one is that if a player misses some chunk of practice, for any reason, they should be listed as questionable. So the Patriots follow that to a T, which means Brady and Gronk get listed as questionable pretty often, because they get extra rest.

I didn't pay much attention to the cardinals but was surprised in the preseason / training camp when everyone was ragging on them when on paper... they had one of the best RB's in football, a capable looking receiver group, fine veteran journeyman QB with a top rookie behind him, and a defense with an all pro and some okay other pieces on it... and a trash offensive line, but still, that should just be mediocre, not worst team in the NFL contenders.

Eesh

DVOA is an extremely stupid way to measure this imo. Say you've got a really good team in a tough division, they are going to look like easy pickings even if they're not. Same goes the other way for teams that are in bad divisions. The Patriots have had one of the easiest schedules so far and their schedule will continue to be insanely easy for the rest of the season.

The pats have not had one of the easiest schedules by any metric, and I don't follow how DVOA is going to underrate good teams in hard divisions vs mediocre teams in easy.

For example, the AFC West, who most would probably agree is the best division in football had the 1st, 5th and 13th ranked teams as of last week.

It'd be kind of funny if this turned into one of those years with no great rookie QB at the top and no other truly dominant player and everyone in the top 5 is trying to trade down with no takers.

Man was the 2013 draft funny.

what's Gruden's record at drafting Good Players?

Well, his first year as HC he drafted Charles Woodson, but then his last two drafts in Oakland he spent a 1st on a kicker (Janikowski) and the only player of consequence in both drafts was him and Shane Lechler.

Then for the Buccaneers between 2002 and 2008 they drafted uh.... a good guard and Aqib Talib and basically nothing else in 7 years of drafting oh my loving god
