The first 8 novels were translated and released by Tokyopop The other 7 however remain untranslated. With no plans on translating them. You can find some fan translations online, but the quality of those leaves much to be desired. On the plus side, the first 8 novels do wrap up the first story arc. So you at least get a complete story. Slayers REVOLUTION and EVOLUTION-R adapted some of the material from the novels. There's a bunch of manga. Most of them are short self contained stories. You do have: Super Explosive Demon Story Slayers which is an adaption of the first seasons/novels.

Movies are all original stuff, some of the manga series are based on the movies. I like Naga, but I'm pretty sure she would get tiring for an entire season. She's best saved for one offs. Jillas was great, especially because I didn't expect a seemingly simple character like that to get the development he did.

It always felt more D&D to me. I really love the world building and mechanics that come with it. Like the spell Gaav Flare, no longer working after Gaav has been killed. Since the spell can no longer channel the power of said character. Also Dragon Slave might be the best goddamn black magic spell of all time.

I love the idea behind Naga in the OVA's It's almost like the producers challenge you. Sure you've got a sexy sorceress with barely any clothes bouncing around the place. But she's so incredibly obnoxious and sounds like a tornado alarm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbfaF5otJv0 So... enjoy your fanservice I guess? I mean there's plenty of it. But dear GOD you have to be able to tolerate of lot if you want to enjoy it.

She is not the first. When it comes to anime it might very well be Black Rose from Ranma 1/2. She undeniably took the crown though, by sheer volume alone. Eva Kaminsky did the voice of Nama in Evolution-R

Well she has the Ragna Blade spell, which kinda makes a sword useless. It might be a bit too much when dealing with random bandits. But when has that ever stopped her before.

Didn't we get a topic a few weeks ago where we could all complain how awful Goblin Slayer is and try to make the best jokes about it? How about we leave it at that. I remember helping run a private Ragnarok Online server years ago. And we wanted some Slayers NPC's for custom quests. So I made these back in the day.
