How do we like the chips headphones? Better than just shoving some AirPods up in there?

My wife and I both use the wireless ones, zero complaints. Much more enjoyable than managing wired earbuds under my hat like I used to.

Denverites,

Is there a ski/snowboard outlet (last year's gear) shop down there somewhere? MSO in Dillon used to kick rear end up here, but the last few times I have been there, its all current gear and near list price.

I need to get the wife some new snowboard bindings, and have to make an airport run tomorrow. Hoping there is somewhere I can swing by quickly.

there honestly isn't that much to see at Vail, in terms of the village. It's all whitewashed with super premium retail and lodging. I can count on one hand probably the number of decent places within walking distance of the lifts.

I70 is apparently a parking lot, no one drive on it (emergency shelter open in Frisco).

They seemed to brush it off as it isn't a problem. Some debris from construction got under the grip or something.

Still, not a good look.

Well, I'll ski with them for like a day-- maybe 2 if someone lets me use their buddy passes.

Otherwise my cheap rear end is going to Copper for free laps!

I used them last year at several mountains and never had any issue. The only downside is they don’t have insanely loud colors for the band. :(

The 7.5% was too light? Those things should be like blackout.

Have you thought about getting a sticker of Calvin pissing on the logo?

After living in the mountains and seeing them (along with every other type of vehicle) stuck in snowbanks, I don't think any vehicle is invincible. 4/AWD and good snow tires is your best bet.

For some reason the Subaru drivers like to tell everyone they are God's gift to snow covered roads.

The worst the people in the rental Suburbans with poo poo all season tires. They probably don't have a ton of exp driving in snow and assume 4wd "just works".

Yes, I agree. Good tires and good driving are by far the two most important things. I used to drive my Accord up the mountain. It had snow tires on and it did fine. My WRX does better, though :haw: If the snow wasn't packed down / if I was trying to start from a stop on a hill with the Accord, things got dicey. I don't have to worry about that anymore.

People tend not to realize that 4WD / AWD help you move, but they sure as hell don't help you stop. That's where the tires come in.

But I was originally responding to your joke about them being unreliable, which I don't really agree with, but that's a dumb thing to argue about in the skiing thread of all places.

It was a dumb joke none the less, ski on friends.
