i mean what are we counting as a computer? does it have to be capable of running arbitrary code? does it need to be a turing machine? does it have to have human-understandable inputs and outputs? can it be a mechanical computer like a lamp timer? an analog mechanical computer like a carburetor? if so, do they count as "idling" by just existing?

ok well then it's four carburetors one lamp timer one e-6b circular slide rule two linear slide rules a digital thermostat (not nest) a microwave oven a smart tv (plugged in but not turned on) cable modem wifi router NAS box digital camera (clock continues to tick while off) plus other things that are probably not doing any computations despite being plugged in, like a digital piano and a scanner e: smart charger for xbox controllers

for a while my devices kept getting kicked off WiFi cos it would only do 16 connections at once. i have a better router now.
