If the dems actually follow through on their campaign promises, expect to see a whole bunch of Trump administration minions getting subpoenaed to suss out their various crimes. This will be particularly entertaining because republicans made the House Oversight Committee significantly more powerful when President Obama was still in office, to better hammer his administration. Probably going to see subpoenas for Trump's tax returns, finally.

The White House realizes it, but that doesn't matter. The target audience absolutely won't know or care that it's doctored, because they won't believe any sources of information which might contradict their preferred propaganda. One of the bootlickers on my Facebook feed has been sharing it nonstop and crowing about how the admin takes the evil awful liberal media to task. Since he retired from the military, I'm pretty sure his only source of news is Fox and Breitbart. I've long since realized that there's no point engaging with him, but it's good to have an idea of what the maliciously ignorant actually believe.

From a month ago, I vaguely heard about Peter Jackson's work colorizing and touching up film from the Great War, but I didn't look into it beyond that. Looks really neat, actually He and his team did a whole lot more than add color. They cleaned up the film tremendously, hired lip readers to figure out what was being said, and a lot more. I don't think anything of that scale has ever been done with original war footage. Definitely something I'll track down when it comes out on DVD/streaming. How can a person be smart enough to create an account for facebook/twitter/wherever, but still too dumb to suss out how idiotic this is? Like, even if a person lacks the critical thinking to realize that the two maps are at different magnification levels, you'd think people would realize that Los Angeles, San Diego, and Sacramento haven't been incinerated.
