whats some good political stuff to get involved in PA? i sent in some volunteer stuff for the fetterman campaign the day it launched but i never got anything back. id like to either work/volunteer for for a senator or some sorta of org. any advice?

If you have a pet project/topic (LGBT rights, environment, legal justice, w/e) you can get on one the local pols radar as someone who cares and is (hopefully) knowledgable on the topic. You want to work your way up. If your locals don't know you you're going to be looked at askance by higher levels or just assigned generic volunteer stuff, you need street cred, you need boots on the ground, you need to show up and be helpful. Its not glamorous speechifying its hard often boring work. Lit drops. Going door to door. Cleaning and organizing the local HQ. Voter registration. Attending meetings and taking good notes. Volunteering to be an election judge or poll watcher (any legal types are especially valued for these positions). Run to be a precinct committeeperson. Get the experience and they'll come to you or your name will come up, especially if (AFTER you've done the work) you mention you're interested in X Y Z. thanks. yeah i am not looking to be the next AOC or something. i just want to do my bit even if its boring and such.

Some good things were cemented into law in the last two years, but a lot still depends on the governor. i think the legeslature can still hold and the senate isnt up for a vote today. so it might just end up, red govenor with Blueish legislature. not great but i dont think we will as horribly backwards.
