I work in the government. Pay grade is GS-12, though I'm getting promoted to a GS-13 next week; locality pay gives it a nice bump. As great as the pay is, I got student loans which eats up most of that. Hopefully public service loan forgiveness will correct that in- oh, say- 6 years? Ugh. Before that I was in private practice making $18-21K in one job, $40-50K in the next. I'll stick to government work.

Dude, go to USAJobs, throw your hat into the federal employment sector. You have that god drat much time in accounting auditing and an MBA? There's gotta be a government agency with comparable pay and better benefits that you would fit great in. Hell, some might even give you telework.
