Yeah the Luminance blend mode looks terrible with curves. If I’m trying to compensate for a saturation shift I’ll just add a Hue/Sat adjustment layer and manually decrease the saturation until it looks good. And if you’re doing a local adjustment with the curves, you can either use a clipping mask on the hue/sat layer or group the layers and use a mask on the group.
