Game 4 has reached a very classic Carlsen position at move 27. Even material with a slight imbalance in the pawn structure that gives Carlsen the opportunity to grind something out while Caruana has to block. Wonder if Carlsen still has it...

A little depressing to see Carlsen play to a draw so easily from that position by move 34. This is an ultra conservative mentality and is very boring to watch. There was no obvious path to win on the board but young Carlsen would have at least tried.

Fairly interesting game today. Caruana is up a pawn at move 20 but Carlsen has a better position, including an active King and the Bishop pair while Caruana only has his dark squared Bishop. Judging by the previous games a quick draw is never the less my prediction.

White's King looks vaguely vulnerable, I hope something happens... If this goes to an armageddon match after halving every game this world championship will undoubtedly go down as the worst ever. It definitely lowers the status of the champion.

The most apt way for this match to finish would be all draws in the rapid and blitz games followed by a draw in the armageddon game to decide the winner. The most likely scenario is Carlsen finally winning a game during the blitz sessions since he is so much stronger than Caruana in that format.

If Caruana can't beat a subdued Carlsen once in 12 classical games then who's got a chance of taking the world championship off him? Nobody is on his level in fast games.
