It's interesting in itself that adoption isn't on the table, because fosterage and adoption are such crucial diplomatic and dynasty-building tools for a lot of cultures in the time period. The usual guardianship/education thing isn't quite there, unless it works significantly differently in CK3/has some sort of other bonus that makes it so that you're actually willing to send heirs out.
