Another comment for this thread... Japan may have a first world life style, however on average the workers over there make about... half what you would in the U.S. Teaching in the U.S? 40 to 60k per year. Teaching in Japan? 20 to 30k per year. Engineering? 60 to 100k per year (In Japan) 30k to 50k per year.
