Meh. My main criticisms of the Punisher show was gun control politician was really a snivelling coward, and oooh we are setting up a big baddie comic book villain that we will reveal in the last 3 minutes of the show. Come back for season 2 which will never happen.
The last part is more of a criticism of Netflix shows in general. How they pad and slow down to a snail's pace because they think spending 20 minutes explaining some one note villain' backstory makes the show deep (I still can't get over the Daredevil Bullseye flashback episode).
Besides those things I enjoyed the Punisher for at least going in a different direction and giving Frank more to do and making him realize how broken he is.

Aside from setting up the comic book villain, I found the ending of S1 to be very definite. Frank finally joins the vets, admits he is scared, opens himself to other people.

Also makes sure that Curtis stays alive because we all knew drat well he was going to get killed in S2 for motivation

I remember GiAnt Man got leaked before Civil War but was Spider-Man? Because if they managed to keep that under wraps, Drew would be pretty easy.

I think you are misunderstanding Lobok. I think he means b-list in context of general public knowledge and not comic readers. The general public knows who Hulk is and has for decades. Green Lantern not so much. A lot of people have never heard of Green Lantern outside of one bad movie.

Jon Stewart was a mainline character in JL/U for half a decade while Hulk had a terrible movie during that period. If I were to make a blind bet on which would get a good representation, it would definitely be on GL.

But then again, I would never in my lifetime guess that the Green Arrow of all characters would launch a TV multiverse, so who even knows.

I'm a huge MCU fan but Feige really needs to start taking more risks after Endgame wraps up. Even if it's a Star Wars situation where they can still release the main Marvel-style blockbusters but also something really different and more adult every year like a Logan. A seperate Marvel-Adult line of completely isolated standalone films would be amazing (Just, you know, with a better name that doesn't make it sound like porn)

I'm also on that team. Fox finally did something right by diversifying their roster with Logan, Deadpool and - in theory - New Mutants. It would be a great idea to keep a separate microcosm where they try other stuff, like a period piece F4 and an existential dread Silver Surfer.
