Wasn't this immediately before her departure from the company as well? So basically she was called fat a bunch of times, lost, and disappeared for years.

And like a year after coming back she was put in a story where she helped Alexa call Nia fat a lot and made her cry

Was a tough choice for me between Reid and Bearer. Bearer's was more upsetting when it immediately happened

I just remembered this...what about that angle about that ref that kept trying to kill himself...because of a bad decision he made? That never really lead to anything, right?

quote:

In 2002, White suffered a shoulder injury during a Hell in a Cell match between Triple H and Chris Jericho at Judgment Day.[2] At WrestleMania XX in 2004, White returned to referee the match between Chris Jericho and Christian; he re-injured his shoulder during the final three count of the match, forcing him to end his referee career.

The Lunchtime Suicide Series
On December 18, 2005 White made a controversial on-screen appearance at the Armageddon pay-per-view.[3] In a segment, a "despondent" White was interviewed by SmackDown! reporter Josh Mathews inside the bar he owned, the Friendly Tap in Cumberland, Rhode Island.[3] He was depicted drinking large amounts of alcohol, claiming that the aforementioned Hell in a Cell match "ruined his life."[3] He then proceeded to take a shotgun out from under the bar and, off screen, fired the gun, apparently intending to kill himself. This sketch was considered distasteful, in part due to the death of Eddie Guerrero a month earlier.[3]

On January 6, 2006, it was revealed that White had shot his foot accidentally during the "ordeal." But when asked by Mathews about his new year's resolutions, he proceeded to scarf down a box full of rat poison, and subsequently fell over in his chair. This segment was leaked onto the internet several days earlier and included was the uncut footage of the post-segment which included the producers as well as White goofing around using some mildly foul language. On January 15, 2006, White was interviewed by Mathews again, but this time he tried to hang himself; the rope broke. For weeks afterward, WWE's official website uploaded a new video showing Matthews trying to interview White who is about to commit suicide each week in a different way. This became a regular segment on WWE's website and was given the name of Lunchtime Suicide, uploaded every Thursday at lunch time.

On April 6, 2006, WWE.com uploaded a video where White did not attempt to commit suicide. In fact, he invited Mathews to a party at the Friendly Tap to take place the following week. The next week, Mathews attended the party, and ended up getting shot by White.

I don't disagree that the Pillman thing should win but the Reid thing feels like it gets dismissed too easily as "eh, wrestlers are scummy in general so whatever."

But you know, that's kind of the difficult "BUT THAT'S REAL BAD TOO!" in every one of these matchups. WWE is so evil.

It's another one of those things I think would have made it past the first round if it were up against one of at least half of the other tactics

Punk and Colt had to deal with that poo poo for 2 years and Colt was worse off than Punk

Didn't it come out when he said there was something wrong with his neck, WWE told him to basically "walk it off"?

At best they thought it was nowhere near as severe as it legitimately was, at worst they thought he was faking, and either way they had a too-lengthy discussion of whether to deem it worthy of an ambulance trip

The only reason I didn't vote OTE is because it had to be a snap judgment at a chaotic time with very little precedence in the WWE.

But now I'm regretting my vote because I'm trying to think about where Vince's line would be: what if Owen landed on someone and killed them? What if 3 people died? Would he stop if someone were stabbed to death?

I get the feeling Vince would be gritting his teeth thinking about millions of dollars going "they're already DEAD for Christ's sake!" and be the lone holdout in a sea of people pleading him to stop the show.

The Kidd situation reinforced to me that they really didn't learn how to treat serious situations. Kidd could have easily died and it was up for debate whether he should get an ambulance ride
