The fact that it laid dormant for so long seems more ominous now that we know it has ambition, I feel like? if it was able to send a portrait to the prime minister, who knows who else it could've sent them to. plus, there's a feeling that maybe gathering a strike team of powerful psychics to feed into it may be all according to plan

At the risk of repeating myself, thanks a ton for putting these out at such a rapid pace! Really enjoying them! Also, I've got to say that I'm loving that we're now moving into full cosmic horror with this; I'm really curious to see how Fujita handles a completely alien intelligence. He's really going all-in with the homage to the artistic/literary fringe of the 1930s with this, and the results have been delightful.

I've spent the better part of the last 24 hours reading this comic and uhhh it's real loving good? I liked Ushio and Tora, and I find Karakuri Circus to be kind of okay, but this is much more interesting than either. The ideas are wilder, the big cast of characters are more interesting and amusing, but it keeps the author's characteristic hot blooded shenanigans and freaky horror crazinesss 100% intact. It's a bit like if Junji Ito and Go Nagai and had a baby, except the baby had a real good babysitter so it grew up to be kind of wholesome instead of being really hosed up.
