i mean even if you could buy infinite red orb packs the hat takes an absolutely miniscule amount to use and the whole idea of the hat is you earn more for killing enemies with it, its a risk/reward thing, but the reward is weighted extremely heavily in your favor. and you could always just get more red orbs to fuel it by... using your other weapons?

Shinji2015 posted:As far as Sterling talk goes, my first exposure to her was a video where she was complaining about DLC characters in MKX (I think) and said something to the effect that every character should return in every game, and I was like "lol absolutely not," so I haven't really paid much attention to her since.

Oxyclean posted:Not really sure if "you suck if you play these games" is their thing, but it's not surprising gamers take it that way because gamers have incredibly thin skin when it comes to criticism of things they like. and went out of their way to quote tweet random 30 follower accounts who said 'idk i like sonic frontiers' so they could be harassed off the internet

Oxyclean posted:"JSS is bad because they put randos on blast for disagreeing with them" is a different argument then "JSS made fun of, and was slightly incorrect about my niche game with bad MTX" like 'all actions are permissible because Gamers are Bad' is a really lazy way of looking at things

Indecisive posted:no the problem with limbus is its written by edgy teenagers who think gore is just the coolest thing in the universe and love nothing more than writing hosed up torture porn. the summary of every game is 90% of the cast dies and everything sucks forever and limbus opens with "this is our DEATH BUS it EATS CORPSES isnt that AWESOME" and every single loving character is an rear end in a top hat who loves violence and murders for no reason and of course the 1 kinda normal character gets turned into a monster and murdered and i just gave up because loving hell thats the cool part

MagusDraco posted:The actual problem with Limbus is that the CEO kowtowed to the South Korean incels/chuds who are massive misogynists that were offended that a "summer" servant didn't have her tits out so they went on a witch hunt to get the artist fired, found out he was a guy, and then instead went after one of the two story CG artists because she was a woman who had an old deleted social media post saying she thought it should be illegal for men to take creep shot photos of women on public transportation. So they accused her of being a feminist and the CEO fired her and she disappeared for almost a year.

Mind you, it's a depressing watch, poo poo is not great for anyone over there. Hyper capitalism + hyper Confucianism, great combination. these vids place a weird amount of emphasis on the confucianism stuff tbh, it feels mildly orientalist

oh, for sure, the main vibe/issue im kinda getting is like, christianity stuff in america is something a large portion of the population still directly adheres to, while the Confucianism stuff in korea is more baked into the social structures/societal expectations than an active force in the modern day, if that makes sense? theres a reason i said 'mildly', its not that big a deal, more just some of the phrasing he uses

RareAcumen posted:What's Korean anime called? I know there's a manga/manwha/manhua difference for Japan/Korea and China but I don't know if there's a distinction for that too. chinese animation is called donghua, korean is called aeni. while theres a few cn original animation productions a year there arent that many korean ones, most korean animation studios are either adapting jp properties or are outsourcing houses for japanese studios.
