I think given the comments for a lot of the LPs were like, non-stop criticism Woolie will have to adjust to stream viewers having largely the opposite philosophy.

The problem is I think the only way to deal with it is up the dollar threshold for donations, but then they seem greedy and people probably spend less overall. They could probably raise the minimum to 4.20 and that'd be fine because weed number.

The Remakes alleviate a lot of the problems but before them the franchise's only good games were 4 and some of 5 mostly because they had the good sense to turn into how stupid the entire setting cast and story of RE is.

Wesker in 5 and Leon in 4 are the only times any of the classic cast are any fun or are interesting at all.

Honestly some people love that poo poo, and it's better you know going in that's what you're gonna get. I don't, I dropped KOTOR when there was an entire episode of Woolie reading every single force power and Pat explaining them. But I get why people would like that. Hell, I love the Naruto Broken Bond LP, and that was so boring it gave Pat a hysterical breakdown mid-recording, so I'm not one to talk.

Yeah, and one thing the boys are missing is that art never exists in a vacuum, and not talking a stance is siding with the oppressor by default. So even if the ending is weirdly ambiguous and lets you read in whatever you want, it's still lovely and transphobic. Honestly I didn't see a single interpretation of that scene that's not hosed up, even the ones that were bending over backwards to try to sanitize it.

My understanding is people waking up during long surgeries isn't uncommon, but if the anaesthesiologist is doing their job the patient won't be awake long enough to remember. I'm sure there are people who get PTSD from waking up mid-surgery and remembering it, but you don't just like, die of fright, that sounds like an urban legend crossed with Patbrain.

Matt's new channel is completely different content from his LPs, so it makes sense a lot of it is kinda mediocre. I unsubbed but plan to check back in a year or so, maybe he just needs some time to learn how to make more compelling content. Especially the video essays, those feel often rushed and milquetoast, like a Mother's Basement for bad video games.

It's episodes like that that really make the 20 minute thing suck rear end, wasn't bad when they did the binge release (unless you hated that it was a binge release), but I really wish they'd just edit the episode length based on content for whatever makes sense. Like have them be anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes so long as it makes sense content wise and it's not an anemic episode that's mostly menus and training. Granted I haven't seen this specific episode yet, and it is amusing to hear woolie get excited about all the new poo poo in the game, so it might be fine in this case. I still think it'd be better in general if he adjusted the episode lengths in line with what happens while still shooting for 20 minutes on average.

As far as that goes, it's one of the most entertaining menu-looks they've ever done; Woolie is absolutely losing his poo poo and there's still a good bit of gameplay showing stuff off in training. I usually hate these episodes (helooooooo KOTOR) but this one didn't bother me fwiw.

That's 100% on Matt for making that a backer reward then. I think letting the fans dictate your content is a really bad move most of the time.
