from what I can tell, sorta? the military before was just the enforcement branch of Bashir’s gov. so with the coup it’s literally new boss same as the old boss and none of the protestors are happy about it

looks like the military council is still in command and the African Union gave them a three month time frame to create a civilian power transfer under threat of rejection from the African Union. so in three months we’ll see if the military does the predictable thing and tries to cling to power

The RSF chickens have come home to roost and with the sudanese government now attempting to disband them has caused them to rebel. Theres active fighting in khartoum. The airport was broken into and several planes torched. Several dozen civillians dead and several hundred injured.
