He just has a better recall than most of us. He's like our own, less lovely version of SuperMechaGodzilla. But in a good way, not the douchey, talk down to you way.

Through that cratedigging I've actually found some stuff that there appears to be little/no Internet footprint for, whether it's Scott Lobdell's first pro credit writing a GLOW-knockoff photo comic for Fabian Niceza's brother in 1985, Michael Avon Oeming breaking in doing Star Wars porn parody comics, or that there was a solicitation for a Todd McFarlane X-Men parody starring Impossible Man for his penultimate issue of Spider-Man before leaving to form Image. Knowing what to look for obviously helps but yeah, there are tons of resources out there.
