did anyone ever point out to diydude that his projected collapse of fiat currency and rise to supremacy of buttcoin in six months never happened?

Mark_Bearredditor for 3 months 8 points 11 hours ago Even better than people adopting Bitcoin to buy food, transportation, pay bills, etc. consider an even better use case for Bitcoin: international trade settlements. That's huge. Oil, ores, food, finished goods, etc. They can't really use gold for that because gold is too expensive and slow to transport securely. For example, an oil tanker shows up, and unloads 2 million barrels of oil at a port. The tanker captain says, "That will be, $120 Million, but we don't take dollars, so, 2.5 Tons of gold. Imagine transporting 5000 lb. of gold back to Saudi Arabia, without getting robbed along the way. Or, there could be one Bitcoin transaction to pay for the oil and delivery. That transaction would cost only a few dollars worth of Bitcoin and there would be six confirmations in about an hour. Now multiply that by by 11,000 oil tankers. Then figure all the ores, grains, finished goods (shoes, cars, etc.)... This is the future of Bitcoin - (de facto) Global Reserve Currency. Again, show your dad news articles - countries around the world are ditching the USD because it is being used as a weapon, and people aren't stupid. They have to use something, switching to another fiat currency solves nothing, and gold is not practical - Bitcoin solves this very big, and very serious problem. It's just a matter of time. After fiat collapses, I believe most people will resort to using "local currency" and/or silver coins and/or Bitcoin and/or .... wait and see.

After government fiat system collapses, early Bitcoin adopters will need to donate Bitcoin to friends and family in order to achieve mass adoption... True or False? (self.Bitcoin) submitted 12 hours ago by the420chronicler Leading_Zerosredditor for 2 months 1 point 11 hours ago True. That's why you need to make sure all your friends and family have bought their own bitcoin whilst it's cheap. You don't want any leeches on your sats stack do you? vroomDotClub 2 points 9 hours ago EXACTLY my sentiment. Don't expect me to bail out those who couldn't be bothered. the420chronicler[S] -1 points 11 hours ago Definitely not, but it's also hard to imagine a peaceful post-fiat world where the early adopters become the new power brokers without anyone attacking them.... In my mind it's an incredibly difficult needle to thread... Altruism seems like an important part of the Bitcoin ethos, and I don't think we should forget that Leading_Zerosredditor for 2 months 1 point 11 hours ago I agree. In a fiat system collapse bitcoiners had better step up to their role of recapitalising failing institutions. We have already seen major charity contributions during the last bull run, with things like the Pineapple fund. I'm sure if people are newly minted millionaires whilst society is falling apart around them, there won't really be bitcoiners wasting money on Lambos.

If only they kept the gold in a trusted central place and moved it back and forth. We could call it fort Knox. Seems like impossible tho might have to use bitcoin.

Think about those brave coiners that demand their fentanyl AND child porn as a single transaction. rear end adoption I feel is inevitable. Since I’m so smart this wish (or lottery payoff) must come true and only then will I (mom told me I was the smartest best boy) dig up my bird bath to,as the smartest kids say, start stacking Satoshis. I don’t know what to say about stacking sats because I don’t know how thick the penny shavings need to be a craptocy.
