Solo Darling vs Dasher is also happening. I assume that's gonna be on the 2nd show? And I am pretty sure Blanche won't be there. She's still injured as far as I can tell.

So, where is Reading is KOT gonna be held? Cause there's no way they run their old spots.

So, KOT is running in their usual Reading venue, the The Goodwill Beneficial Association Hall. Weird choice for the biggest shows, cause that place can't hold more than like 300 people I think.

Another thing I saw was, Juan/John was in a full black and white tuxedo at the end of the show when everyone was in the ring with Hurricane. Dude travels to shows in style I guess.

It sure seemed like Molly turned on Boomer and let Dasher beat him up. I was also really hoping the masked jobbers were gonna all make some big run and dominate like a CHIKARA version of the Nexus or nWo or something.

Gavok posted:So nothing much has been going on because Chikara's spent the last few months doing shows at baseball stadiums that aren't really important other than gradually doing the Johnny Kid Invitational Tournament and letting the Crucible stuff play out. Right now the next big show is Chikarasaurus Rex in a few weeks, which at least looks like a good show. One of those was in Lancaster, PA in the parking lot of the stadium. It was raining and there almost no lights. One of the wildest environments I've ever seen a show in. Downside of course was every match like like under 3 minutes long. Also, I can confirm Allie/Stray Kat is really over with the baseball crowd in Trenton, NJ.

It's weird that CHIKARA is doing a 15 match card on a single show. They could have easily made this 2 shows.

Ophidian and Quack had an impromptu match tonight to determine who the Head trainer is at the Wrestle Factory. Also, this show had more kids than any show I can remember. At least 50% of the crowd was kids. It was a Boy Scouts fundraiser, so that probably explains it, but it was a fun show.

The whole Crucible angle is lame. I am just sick of big bad faction vs CHIKARA storylines. Kimber Lee joining makes very little sense. Just feeling bad is a terrible reason to join the group. They don't have any power over her or anything. It just seems weird for her to go along with it. Solo/Kimber WAS my favorite match though. The trios match was also very good.

So, it seems like there was no big comedy match this year? Also, I wonder what the attendance was since the Reading venue is so small compared to the Funplex in Easton.

Draxion posted:Wasn't she only there for like three months? Pretty much. She moved to Long Island and started getting the CHIKARA bookings, then when she broke up with MJF and ended up moving to Ohio, it seemed that kinda was a deal breaker. She went from winning a bunch of tag matches to losing the CdP match in 2 straight falls and being eliminated in round 1 of KOT. It's a shame, her gimmick really fit in with CHIKARA. She told me how CHIKARA was one of her biggest goals to be apart of.

I was at the show. They kept teasing that the show was an experiment with a BIG partner. To me, it feels like this was something for WWE. Maybe to see if its something they'd want on the Network or not. Quack wrestled Sonny Defarge in the main event. The only other worth while match was Molly McCoy vs Still Life. There was 3 Crucible matches that felt like a complete waste of time as well. Before the show, they had us "practice" booing and cheering. It def felt like they wanted absolutely nothing remotely out of the ordinary to go wrong. Whole thing lasted less than 2 hours and that was with 2 intermissions. Not sure what to think of it. It was just kinda there.
