I'm through April for CMLL! MOTYC: Caristico vs. Ultimo Guerrero, CMLL Martes (4/30), http://youtu.be/CbVVA2rxy4g?t=01h47m41s A really great singles match. These two mesh really well, with Caristico as the exciting high flyer and Guerrero as the great heel. HM: Último Guerrero & Volador Jr. vs Bárbaro Cavernario & Titán, CMLL (4/26), https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oY7Iu35D_Ck&t=6620s This was the finals of the Torneo Increible de Parejas and was a lot of fun, with three of CMLL's best workers and Titan, who's maybe a step or two below that level but still really good. HM: Ángel de Oro, Niebla Roja, Soberano Jr. vs Cuatrero, Forastero, Máscara Año 2000, CMLL (4/26), https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oY7Iu35D_Ck&t=4895s This was a solid trios match with 5/6 of CMLL's most consistent set of trios this year. Mascara is an interesting addition, in that he isn't as great of a worker but does a really good job of projecting as a heel.

CMLL vs. The Crash gets over really big and Brooks and Wolf are really great. HM: La Bestia Del Ring, Rush, & Terrible vs. Carístico, Valiente, & Volador Jr., https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3De-nqmX4uU&t=7039s Maybe a half step behind the previous trios match, but still a lot of fun. Rush has his working boots on for this one and Bestia Del Ring's role is minimized.

Both of these are from CMLL on Marca forMay 24. HM: Euforia, Gran Guerrero, & Templario vs. Soberano Jr., Stuka Jr., & Valiente https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-PaL2HSIdc&t=3814s A very fun trios match. The closing few minutes were really great and this was definitely above the typical third-from-the-top-style trios match in the company. Almost a MOTYC for me. MOTYC: Barbaro Cavernario vs. Mistico, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-PaL2HSIdc&t=6542s My problem with CMLL is that as impressive as it is athletically, sometimes it feels like there's not a real drive by the workers to win their match. This is not one of those matches. For as much high flying as there is in it, and there's a lot between these two, it really feels like both of them desperately want to get a huge win in the main event of this show. Both put on great performances and the end result is a great match to watch.

A couple of HMs from the 5/31 CMLL on Marca show. Metalico vs. Virus, retirement match, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0MgEkbf6Tg&t=2173s Amapola vs. Kaho Kobayashi, hair vs. hair, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0MgEkbf6Tg&t=4181s Both are matches with stips where the crowd is really into them. By the end they were both super engaging despite my having watched maybe two Virus matches this year and none from the other three. Metalico & Virus had a crowd almost as hot as Cody vs. Dustin at Double or Nothing, but the work was sloppy at points. Amapola & Kaho would have been a MOTYC for me if they hadn't of so blatantly rushed through the first two falls. I know that's kind of the thing in CMLL, but they did it to a level I've never seen this year. I'm looking forward to the main event from this show: Carístico, Místico, & Volador Jr. vs. Bárbaro Cavernario, Mr. Niebla, & Negro Casas

Don't have a whole lot to say here. HM: Carístico, Místico, Volador Jr. vs. Bárbaro Cavernario, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas, CMLL Marca (5/31), https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0MgEkbf6Tg&t=6885s This was a little disappointing given who was in it, but they didn't go all out for a classic match. Still, even with the foot off a gas, they put on a really good performance. HM: El Barbaro Cavernario vs. Templario, lightning match, CMLL Marca (6/7), https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IhvKPam8Tw&t=3979s The best of these three matches by a decent margin. It got MOTYC consideration for me but falls just a bit short due to not having enough time. Still definitely worth your time, because these two do almost everything they can to make this the best nine minute-long match possible.

HM: Wotan vs. Fly Star, FILLM 3/16 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXuNDPjglw0 This is a wild, bloody brawl with double juice, a broken stadium chair used as a weapon, and Fly Star loving doing a dive onto a concrete floor like a stupid son of a bitch. And then the match ends with what I think is a double countout which kind of deflates the whole thing. A few people threw money in the ring afterwards.
