I'm going to guess that the poo poo will really hit the fan if we go much over a month. See how well the country functions when huge amounts of government employees default on their mortgage or get evicted for not paying rent, particularly lower paid ones such as the TSA. February 10th. OPM already addressed this. You offer to do labor in exchange for boarding, so it is a non issue  Going with 25 January, long enough that some people get turbo hosed but the red hats will still say it is no big deal you can't get evicted for missing one months rent etc etc

Had a note in my door today from management, they're letting anybody who is currently under shutdown skip their rent until the shutdown ends, provided they have proof of course. Outstanding rent will be amortized to their overall lease - so if you've got 9 months left on your lease and your rent is 2500, payments will go up every month by 278. I'm predicting it'll go until at/around the 14th of January. Give it another week before poo poo really starts to break down.
