If this is a fresh Firefox install, it has built in tracking protection you need to disable for the forums for tweet embeds to work.

You've got it backwards, the turbo button speeds the PC up and was intended to be be left on all the time, on should only have been turned off if a particular app wasn't working correctly.

Turbo mode is when the pc ran at full speed, but the button could be wired up either way.

If it's a fresh Firefox install, you need to disable enhanced tracking protection for the site you want to see the embeds on. So on the forums, go to the little shield left of the url and do the thing.
