I like Bale just fine, but I put him more in the Tom Cruise class of actors and he seems to have a higher opinion of himself than that. He's no DDL.

Most films are going to be forgotten two/three/four years from now, and their quality isn't going to determine that. I mean, do you think most people would remember Philomena, Bridge of Spies, or Beasts of the Southern Wild? I sure as hell don't, because I forgot all of these existed until I looked up past Best Picture nominees for this post.
