Horror really brought it this year but I don't think Suspiria is going to get any love, despite it being the best of the bunch. It's odd to think of Hereditary as the 'safe' horror choice this year, but I think that's where we're at.

Timeless Appeal posted:the fact that Black Panther is probably a lock for Best Picture I really don't think this is anything resembling a fact. This is still the Academy and there's a lot 'safer' choices they could go with. Even Beale Street is more likely to me.
