Figure I'll throw my hat in the ring. I have a few projects running but only one "EP" released, under the name Vapid Koi. I guess you'd call it lo-fi?

https://vapidkoi.bandcamp.com/releases

The story behind it is I had the progression for the first song done, showed my partner and he recommended I work on it. At that time I ran out of anti-psychotics and wasn't able to get more for a while. So I slowly began to suffer a schizophrenic breakdown. I worked on each track sequentially, with the first track being done first and so on. As the EP progresses you can tell I started to have an obsession with textures and repeating the same thing over and over.

Overall I am proud of what I accomplished, especially since it is THE sound of a mental breakdown for me. I do not ever want to go through it again though.

Updated OP with your info. I'm really digging this EP dude, it has tons of feeling and the textures are very interesting. In fact, I would definitely be interested in sampling some of your stuff to make some beats if you are ok with that. Would certainly give you proper credit and if I end up releasing anything would work out a deal with ya.

Thanks! If you want to sample then be my guest. I can send you stems if you want. Happy to accommodate.

And thanks 2DCAT.

I suppose I'll post this here. This is what you'd call my "main band" I guess. It's a solo project I've been working on for ages.

If I were to describe it I'd say 90s alt rock blended with Aussie indie rock. Currently I only have some demos up. It's called Vol 1 & 2 because the first and second half are radically different.

I'm in the process of working on two concurrent albums, Clutter and Our Cold Mornings. Both cut of a similar vein but different feels. I plan on releasing both this year.

I made a thing. I have been working on a bunch of demos for an alt rock project. I took 11 of the tracks that I liked but couldn't do anything with (right now) and put it in a thing.

Vol 1 is heavier stuff and Vol 2 is the lighter stuff. I am working on a real album (or two).

Hey thread. I've released an EP for my chill project Vapid Koi. No crazy synths this time but lots of layers and ambience.

It's only four tracks long and I'm really proud of it. You don't have to listen to me sing either as it's instrumental!

I hope someone out there enjoys it.

I finally got a song out for my project Vapid Koi.

https://vapidkoi.bandcamp.com/track/your-piece-of-me

It's a particularly important track for me because it's my first move into trying to sing with my songs. Previously nearly all my work was instrumental. Still not super happy with my voice but it's a work in progress.

Hope y'all enjoy it. I'd describe it as alt rock and folk, with a drum machine thrown in for good measure haha.

I'll play. Some music from one of my projects, and the only project that's released something.

I hope someone enjoys it.

Recorded some instrument demos recently :)

This one has lyrics written, I just need to be a not-coward and record them.

This started as a song for a shoegaze project with a friend but turned into my usual alt-rock mess haha.

I released a new track (more of a demo with decent production) for my "main" project Indigo Monsoon.

https://indigomonsoon.bandcamp.com/track/an-unproductive-vent

It's a long instrumental that is all about impotent anger and sadness. Funnily enough out of the three projects I do Indigo Monsoon doesn't get the most love, usually because I'm too worried about quality so nothing ever gets released.

Anyway, I hope someone enjoys it :)

Thanks, I spent a long time on the lyrics, and I feel they really go to show the depths of my lyrical craftsmanship. Sometimes you just gotta put your best foot forward, you know?

I made two songs about being mentally ill.

I "sing" in Drift. I am not a singer and I can't sing but gently caress it. I'm very happy with the atmosphere in general and the layering of the vocals tho.

I made this, it's not finished, still need to do vocals and actual production, but it's getting there nicely.
https://soundcloud.com/syntaxfunction/attackdecay

It's mainly synths, samples, keyboard and programming, with a backwards guitar solo and some distorted guitars for flavour. Heavily inspired by trip hop artists like Massive Attack, jazz weirdos like Tom Waits, and some of my usual 90s alt-rock stuff for fun.

I've been incredibly sick and as a result have changed how I make music. I primarily make guitar-focused music, and while I still use them in songs and also write with them I also bought a keyboard (it's very nice) and it's kind of pivoted a lot of how I write.

Edit:
Also gently caress y'all are so good at this.

BandCamp Friday is coming up, and to celebrate, I'm releasing the first single from my next album. The song is called "Photograph", and I legitimately feel like it's the best thing that I have ever recorded. Hope you enjoy it.
