I've always pictured it as defense lawyers work to ensure that the police and the government -- you know, the ones holding all the power and advantages -- are following their own loving rules and doing their jobs at least at a basic level when they try to nail someone.

They literally can't imagine any possible way to do it because in their minds, Medicare for all consists of keeping the same rotten & inefficient system and simply multiplying it by everybody -- and you're left with a giant check to write.
