I like the away goals rule. It adds extra drama to the ties and gives an interesting risk/reward problem for the teams to tackle.

You offset the benefit of playing an extra half hour in front of your own fans with the challenge of scoring away from home. There's been some great games over the last few years thanks to away goals, Liverpool being involved in a fair few, and I'd much prefer going out thanks to one then watching teams go away from home and park 11 men behind the ball and get out with a 0-0.
