It's true, King Arthur stuff is hilariously poorly written and very gay A lot of people believe that the majority of original translations had Lancelot just outright as a homosexual, due primarily to the fact that he has several male lovers and only one female lover, who was added later and is generally a huge point of contention.

Drop that garbage and  by reading the Mabinogi.I took a couple of semesters of Medieval Welsh in grad school for a few reasons and that was of course our text. It's like some weird slapped-together syncretic folklore/Arthurian fanfic. If you haven't read it, I would guess you'd like it -- even though it's like 79% less homoerotic than what you've posted, it makes up for it by being batshit insane, in good ways. (And thanks for doing so; I've never looked at the French texts, it's a gap in my Arthuria, and now I'll close it as soon as I can track down a copy.)

Yeah, these translations are crazy expensive. I read them ages ago at my library in college, and I don't have a personal copy now, sadly; even past the cost, I just don't really have the room for bookcases in my NYC apartment.

Im mostly posting here to do two things: 1) be the first person in the thread to write Le Petite Morte d'Arthur 2) these books are so so very gay that an interpretation of the grail quest is a bunch of gay dudes trying to become straight which is why none of them succeed and the guardian of the grail is both unhappy and genitally mutilated.
