Man. Nebraska was in the driver's seat up 5-1 until a rally and a 3R bomb in the top of the 9th put Okie St ahead for good :(

Well my Gators sleep-walked through a very mediocre rebuilding(?) year. Be grateful that y’all are good.

Woof.

lsu was a preseason #1, but when the bracket came out some fans were worried about Stony Brook, which I think gives you a good idea of exactly how their season has gone

Michigan's bullpen has done its best impression of the Detroit Tigers, blowing a 7-4 lead in the 9th

Currently down 9-7 with 1 out

They've gone through four relievers in this inning

edit: 11-7, 2 out

edit2: Michigan lost 11-7 and will have to try to not gently caress up nearly as bad tomorrow

Tech faces OSU in Lubbock. Tech swept the series earlier this year in Lubbock, which really was the start of Tech's run up to a super host spot.

The bullpen didn't completely gently caress it up tonight and Michigan won 17-6

First super-regional appearance since 2007. They'll either head to UCLA or host Loyola Marymount.

ucla's batting with the bases loaded as i type. they're already winning. edit loyola's catcher did good on a foul popup and they got out of it

fresno might make it back to the supers, they're losing to stanford right now tho

So of the regional hosts, we lost Oregon State, West Virginia and both Georgia teams. UCLA, Stanford, Louisville, and ECU all did it the hard way, playing 5 games along the way.

Pretty proud of ISU for getting as far as they did - I've got some longtime familial connections to that program and started my undergrad there, and that's not usually a school that makes any kind of national splash.

Tech vs OSU game 1 was a good one.

Gabe Holt had as lovely a day as you could imagine. Draft eligible sophomore, picked in the 7th round, so got $$ on his mind.

Jung (2-5, HR) came out as flat as a guy with that stat line could.

Wilson (7) and Fulford (9) seemed to be figuring something out at the plate, though.

Warren may have thrown just a few too many (just under 40) to come close tomorrow. Floyd tweaked his knee during a pitch and might need a day or two's rest as well.

1 more win for the CWS

LSU and UNC are both down a game. UCLA is down a game and 3-1 in the 6th. Vandy is down a game but up 1-0 in the 7th.

edit: yeesh, Vandy's freshman pitcher Kumar Rocker struck out 19 in a no-hitter, first in the NCAA playoffs since 2012.
