"Mike Martz thinks he can really coach him up" Throws INT on first pass attempt. Does anyone doubt Martz is still carrying around the same playbook from 20 years ago?

Interesting move by the AAF this weekend, replacing the opening kickoff with a mandatory INT.

Watching the stream on the league website and it has sound today which is great. No commentators though and I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

I'm watching on NFL Network, and during the ad break, the audio for the ad went into super chipmunk fast forward, then backwards and then there was silence for the rest of the ad while the video played out normally.

They don't have commentary unless there's a broadcast stream available, which isn't always the case depending on who is carrying the game.

Haha, Feeney plays for the Fleet, the announcers just described the wrong guy. Wait they didn't, I am remembering the wrong guy. I thought he was a running back for some reason.

The coating on the fleet face masks flaking off and not being replaced is kinda representative of the AAF as a whole huh

drat, that was a great TD. San Diego looks a lot better tonight than they did last week, and that was against a worse team.

Shinji2015 posted:drat, that was a great TD. Well you have to expect them to play well against a hated rival. Fleet/Commanders rivalry has been such a great one and it traces its way all the way back to the beginning of the league.

LONGEST RUN IN AAF HISTORY

Jaquan Gardner rules. You see a dude with that kind of body and you kinda think he's gonna be good. Short but built like a drat brick, super muscular, great quickness like a lot of shorter guys. He's the type of guy that could actually get a chance in the NFL (actually searching his name it says the 49ers signed him in 2018 to a three year deal... not sure what happened with that) Are NFL players allowed to play in the AAF while they're on a team? Could be a good way to get experience and reps for guys that don't get much of either, but I can't imagine that NFL teams would be very happy about players getting injured in a Spring league. His knees looked in-bounds almost at the same time that his elbow hit the ground out of bounds, should've given it to him IMO
