People hated it when it came out but I always thought it was rad. If it had a problem it's just the lack of some characters but I liked the idea of it and FF3/RBFF of just making everyone insane instead of toning characters down.

Amakusa's castle in Samurai Shodown 4 can be seen from a different distance from every background in the game as you get closer with each success match and I fuckin' love that. Furthermo

Haohmaru is based on Miyamoto Misashi, Ukyo was supposed to be Sasaki Kojiro but became Goemon XIII, Yoshitora is Tokugawa Ienari, Hanzo is...Hattori Hanzo

Yagyu Jubei was a real dude, Wan-fu is based on a bandit named Miyoshi Seikai. Not sure if Galford is based on William Adams, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Gaoh is pretty obviously based on Nobunaga, Yumeji then is based on Mori Ranmaru, and VI has loving Andrew Jackson.
