Who’s looking forward to seeing Ru’s new show tomorrow on Netflix? I’m expecting it to be 90’s level corny but amazing music and camp AF. There’s also going to be moments where we go ‘Oh wow, should she be out in daylight? Where’s that S1 filter?’ Oh and Bianca is the secret villain. Or Michelle Visage.

It honestly looks way better than it has any right to be given ru hasn’t ever acted in a main or even main supporting role. But I’m a cheerleader! Was his biggest acting role to date afaik but the trailer at least looks like he’s reasonably comfortable in a lead so I’ll watch it

haven't heard back from my weed guy so I haven't watched AJ and the Queen yet but DR:T season 2 has been on in the background and tbh even though I didn't want to sit down and watch season 2 without watching season 1 first (for some stupid reason season 2 is on stan but not season 1) but its pretty goddamned entertaining even just tuning in and out whenever I hear a barrage of thai/malay/chinese interspersed with "FIEEEEEEEEEEEERCE" in the talking heads. All the lip synchs are just next level poo poo, its kind of amazing how much better this is than mainline DR on a shoestring budget. drat. I know I'm not saying anything the thread hasn't said a million times but I'm just catching up. Most of the queens I was really into in the first couple of eps have gone home but I'm still loving it.

Man, if Drag Race could hire real writers for their skits like AJ and the Queen... E: I loved every indulgent bit where Ru just gets to perform in a rinky dink club cause how often do we ever get to see that Also turns out Ru can carry a show as the lead!!!

Are we sure Dahlia Sin, Heidi N. Closet, and Jaida Essence Hall aren't Aja, Kennedy Davenport, and Akeria in disguise? I'm so stoked for this season. Rooting for Rock M. Sakura to go all the way based on that Gundam outfit alone.

When we were watching the Meet the Queens, I mentioned to my partner "Oh, that's Aja's (former?) drag daughter"...then Dahlia opened her mouth, and he immediately looked at me and said "Trust me, you wouldn't have had to tell me that she's 'related to' Aja". They even laugh the same!

Heidi's from my town and I swear used to come into my work and we'd shoot the poo poo about how closeted this place is. Jackie Cox sounds like a chill, nerdy version of Miz Craker. Gigi Goode's just Morgan McMichaels. Crystal Methyd looks like she thought she was on Dragula and has a surprisingly bubbly personality. Aiden Zhane's pretty much just the kid of Sasha Velour and Sharon Needles, except apparently knows nobody who does drag. Brita's got a flawless face and almost looks like she's gonna be the funny heart of the season - except that Rock M Sakura, the mashup of Trixie and Kim Chi, is on the season too. Jaida Essence Hall reminded me of current Shangela the second she opened her mouth. Nicky Doll's bringing in fuckin' Valentina meets Courtney Act by way of France and if she's not out in one of the first episodes might take it all the way with that look. Dahlia's Aja's kid and seems like she's gonna be here for the petty-rear end drama, so I live. Widow Von'Du seems like such a funny-rear end sweetheart it's a shame in her Meet The Queens it sounded like she was implying she's the first one out the door. ...and then there's Jan "I'm here too" Sport and Sherry "Couldn't even make it through two minutes without bitching out all the other queens for caring about aesthetics holy poo poo we already had Nina West only Nina was a fuckin sweetheart what you doing honey" Pie. I'm really excited by Season 12, it looks like there's going to be a lot of either talent, personality, or television.

I'm excited about this season, and probably should work on not instantly comparing people to older queens.

I don't know all the queens yet but I can already tell I'm going to root for Brita Filter at least to start out. I have seen her perform at Pieces and maybe a couple other places a few times and she's great.
