Same, same. I have no idea why I ended up with a copy of Shadow Hearts 2 (I was an avid used games browser, so I probably picked it up on impulse like Unlimited Saga) but the strength of its writing quickly made it one of my top ten games.

On the contrary, I loved Solomon's Key, because it made me feel like an occult badass. Albert Simon, eat your heart out, I can match crests!!!! (Also I was going to 100% completion anyway, so no big loss there)

The berserk remixes of music really do a good job at conveying EVERYTHING'S hosed UP and it's a pity that you kind of have to go out of your way to hear them.

I was disappointed to find out that Kaiketsu Zubat didn't have a killer puppeteer. Killer bartender? Sure. Killer fisherman? Why not. Football assassin? Look that one up on youtube, it's great. But I don't think they had a puppeteer.

FORCED EVASION FORCED EVASION FORCED EVASION FORCED EVASION FORCED EVASION FORCED EVASION EF wasn't a great game, and the way they went 'yeah monsters will just ignore the rest of your attacks in a turn if you drop a combo or a monster touches the ground, and a lot of monsters are too heavy to be launched properly' made the back half even more tedious than it needed to be.

in case anyone was wondering about what they were using instead of 1, 2, 3 This was the worst dungeon in the game, at least (unless I've blocked out more annoying ones). I, uh, did not have a guide and I'm very bad at these puzzles. e: update on last page woops

I wasn't a big fan of her battle mechanic or the baggage associated with it also because I always felt like I was missing text every time she spoke up in a cutscene. She herself was fine, I guess? had something going on beyond being wa-wa-wacky or the straight guy, which a lot of the FTNW characters didn't. Joachim is still the best though.

Yeah, 100 floors of weird toku references (nice, Sun Vulcan!) and rear end shots sounds amazing in theory and is awful in practice.
