"Oh, Kumiko, like the actress." Eiji nods, making the same connection that literally everyone else makes. "She's fantastic. Spelled the same?" It is in fact not spelled the same, and you spend the rest of the train ride having a conversation about kanji homophones and name reading that would be obnoxiously boring to anyone who doesn't read Japanese.

Thursday, April 9th, Afternoon
♪ Persona (PSP) - Maki ♪

It's impossible to not notice how different Taiga is from the urban environments you're used to. Modern and traditional architecture intermingle all the way down both sides of the wide river the town gets its name from, and beyond the few major streets, the entire landscape is hills and maple trees. A single radio tower in the distance is the only structure in sight larger than two stories. Even the air is different. Cleaner. Fresher. Sharper.

Eiji's sister was waiting at the station and, with nowhere else pressing to go, you accepted her offer to show you the way to Shineka. It's mostly been the two of them talking to each other as you walk, easy to tune out, but after the second or third time hearing your name, you finally take notice, blinking back to reality. "Sorry, what?"

"Long train ride?" There's a note of trepidation in the girl's voice as she offers the excuse, though you'd only be able to guess as to why. Her name's Nozomi, and she recently switched to a Humanities major, but that's about as much as you managed to pick up from their conversation.

A) "Gen Ed, haven't actually decided yet."
B) "Wildlife or Botany, I think. Gonna do conservation work."
C) "Teaching. Can't stand adults, but kids are alright."

"You should probably get on that, then. Here, I'll come with you, I've got a couple things I need to get, too." Before you can respond about any possible variations on the idea, he's already taking the lead. "Sorry to cut and run, sis. I'll text you when I'm all settled in my dorm room."

Amused but unsurprised, Nozomi doesn't argue with her brother's 'plan', just turns to give you a short bow.

2] "It was nice to meet you, Kumiko. Try to be patient with my brother, alright?"
