You can build Hypertubes for faster personal transport (or abuse them for a people cannon), or get into vehicles. You can also build a Zipline from the MAM, which lets you travel along built power lines pretty dang quickly- the power towers are great for this since you get uninterrupted ziplining between them. There’s no teleporting, but decent travel infrastructure makes the map feel way smaller.
