Not trying to resurrect a dead thread but looks like we're heading to Oahu/Waikiki later this year to meet up with family. Waikiki is probably where we'll be since we're booking with Costco (PBUC) but how difficult/reliable is it to VRBO/AirBnB as long as we stay in the legally permissible areas? Also has anybody done this recently with a 1-2 year old? Probably staying near beach/mall since little adnamo isn't 100% mobile and needs frequent recharges (naps). The Waikiki Aquarium and Zoo sounded like good options to us as well.
