Good buy, those things are a ton of fun and for the price of a Miata  I need to find a tire shop that'll let me kill my old tires in their lot.

Is it a metal spring or a wire wrap type plastic tube? If the later I'd guess drainage but I'm not familiar enough with the cars to know what it would be draining.
