https://www.youtube.com/c/TheWeekIReview The Week I Review - A (former?) professional movie critic that lives in NYC and started the channel to review one thing he did each week, be it movies, concerts, stand up shows, video games, etc. He has a slightly quirky approach and thoroughness with just the right amount of skepticism and cynicism towards the entertainment industry that I really love. In February he reviewed one thing a day taking audience requests and covered a huge variety of media from a video game where time skips when you blink to a 3 hour kpop concert in honor of a passed away band mate. It's a fascinating marathon of content consumption and creation. His channel is the best example of Youtube not being a merit based platform, because both his content and production are top tier. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAw2byPHGvs His 1 hour review of Bo Burnam's Inside was better than the actual film. The first 20 minutes are all context for his relationship to Burnam's work, which gives you an idea of his approach. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djq2kBk8Yvo His video on separating art from artists (and why you can't really do it) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WDrDc1FU7s His self written, recorded, and filmed rap review of the Hamilton musical is fantastic in both production and analysis.

Sideways would be twice as good if he yelled half as much. That overly exasperated angry thing he does constantly is unwatchable for me.
