Goof Troop is way worse in co-op; each of you can only carry one item, whoever's stuck playing Max is constantly waiting on Goofy because Goofy moves slower but hits harder, and friendly fire is on (though you don't take damage) so you're constantly getting in each other's way and breaking barrels and shattering blocks that get kicked at you. Still better than Revolution X though. (my aunt, for reasons far beyond my comprehension, owned both Goof Troop and Revolution X and my cousin & I binge-co-oped both those games in a weekend and we didn't talk to each other for a month afterward)

Dan and Grace's Chaos Romcom Episode 8 - Super Emil World/Super James Pond This happened right at the time of night where I'm done drinking cider and starting to drink water, and once I start sobering up a bit my brain gets real slow and less able to deal with really weird poo poo. The thing is, the Amiga (and the Atari ST) had a single button joystick. That made most of the action games, and all of the ports on the system hot trash. Mortal Kombat II had the special additional joy of the graphics for fatalities being on a separate disk, so you'd have to swap a disk in and wait for it to load to see the finisher. Man, I loved Amiga games back in the day, but in retrospect it was just because all my friends had C64s instead.

I loved Robocod as a five year old but looking at it now it does look pretty off-putting. Fun facts about the Amiga version: 1) As Dan mentioned the hostages are penguins. What he didn't mention is that they are a tie in with Penguin biscuits:  2) In the game over screen, the penguins drag away Pond's dead body to eat him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VWxUdPn30M Another "nightmare fuel in hindsight" game I loved was Fire and Ice but alas that doesn't have an SNES version.

I was raised in ultraviolent poo poo and still had to leave the room twice (and couldn't finish the Goof Troop so I assume he's trapped on that island forever reenacting Battle Royale).
