I have a theory that cars (all mechanical devices, really) operate on a sort of inverse WH40K Ork principal. The less you know about how they work and the fewer fucks you give about them the more unkillable they'll become. If you're a car guy or god forbid an actual mechanic? You are straight up hosed. You know when shits wrong, and somehow that is enough to accelerate the decline.
