Today is good weather
for an airstrike.
imo the whole idea of ex-players having some divine right to stick their oar into the running and business of their ex-clubs can gently caress right off

I'm tired of hearing about money, money, money, money, money.
I just want to play the game, drink Pepsi, wear Reebok.

Does Ferdinand have his coaching badges? In all seriousness, if Van Der Saar and Overmars could start turning things around at Ajax, there have to be ways that United's crop of ex-players could get a skillset that would make them helpful members of the club's hierarchy.

Van Der Saar went and got his master's in the field. Rio gotta go back to school

And Overmars was DoF at his old club before Ajax for a couple of years.

Also Ajax had a good idea if what they wanted them to do, and are much more relaxed about having blips and downturns.

Highbury chipper, Figo nutmegger and last minute Anfield winning goal scorer John O'Shea has retired from football.

Goonspeed to the best Utility Man in my football watching memory.

It’s worse than just being made a manager imo: a specialist in overseeing transfers while having never managed a club or been involved in signing players.

This role is further away from playing football, and should go to an old hand in the industry who has signed some players before.

Uh Rio played for Leeds so he’s familiar with the transfer tactic of spunking money up the wall. He’ll fit right in with Ed.

Thought the major part of Ajax's rejuvenation was the complete revamp of the academy/youth system by Wim Jonk and Ruben Jongkind when Johan Cruijff was technical director?

I thinkit's irresponsible to mention Rio in the same breath as those others. And it's not just becuase theyre white. Rio, in my view, is too thick and drug addled to be allowed anywhere near a position where jusgement and memory are required.

I see banana skins for both Manchester lovely and liverpoo this weekend. Metaphorical ones. Wouldn't it be funny if they both drew? And coming up tonight, an engrossing encounter between two teams who honestly should just give up and let the superleaguers above them secede

It’d be fun to see city draw and take it to the final week.

I’m happy to see Liverpool fans left with nothing, but equally take no pleasure in City proving again that you can just buy victory with blood money.

Massive loving shame that. He was just coming into his own as a player. That being said, missing three games then getting a summer break might do him some good.
