I made the mistake of watching this a few hours after watching the first episode of We Never Learn. The "mistake" was that this beautiful thing made WNL look like crap. Well, even more like crap. Great animation, great pacing, good timing on the jokes. The camera work is amazing, knowing exactly how long to linger on details. This is going to be my third or fourth watch-through of K-ON! and the craft that goes into the animation blows me away every time. This is KyoAni hitting on all cylinders. And it gets better from here!

Critics: The S2 OP song is too frenetic K-ON!! S3: Hold my The S3 OP visuals are probably the best of the bunch but the song is ... ehh. Meanwhile, K-ON's EDs are always fantastic. Hard to pick among them.
