3rd Platoon Fire at specific mans in the woods you can see for the first minute, prioritizing HQ and SMG guys. After that, have all the guys in the trench lay down area fire divided between the lavender and magenta areas marked on the map. Foxhole guys should mop up, targeting specific mans with a priority on keeping those jerks in the far west woods from advancing. Panswercherk Have this guy area fire the shrek in the general area of the troops we can see in the magenta woods for one turn, then QUICK to the woods marked with the big blue "X", ducking into a foxhole if one is available. From there, he should try to get a shot on that t-70.

Okay can we please withdraw the Tiger now before it gets grenaded and tracked. Still that otherwise went really well, we are cutting their assaults to bits and they don't seem to be able to put together any real volume of return fire.

Tiger orders Button up and reverse along the blue path. Once at the north ford position set a target light arc 180 degree arc centered to the north. EDIT: Ignore the yellow line thru the woods, reverse all the way thru and then turn to continue forwards north. Popete fucked around with this message at 17:34 on May 24, 2019 |

With all the smoke its super unlikely that the Tiger can see anyone from there, I also think that paths it right across the mines. I should be able to hold the SE with what I have, the Stragglers are the most intact unit we have. Imo the guys that really need your help are the ones currently engaged in the ford. I *think* the forests is passable to the tiger as well so you could go north around the minefield.

Popete posted:My only worry is getting bogged in the woods, is that much of an issue? Woods aren't usually that much of a bog threat unless you try move at FAST through them. To absolutely minimise chances you could drop the speed to MOVE for the woods bit and specify to aim for the thin bit where you popped a T34 through before but should be fine either way. Also you are getting pretty low on HE as it keeps shooting it off at targets without much hope of hitting so letting Glyn do the final positioning and use target light orders once you arrive at the ford would go a long way to preserving it. [e] Glyn informs me Soviet man-portable Anti Tank rifles have a good chance of penetrating the Tigerrs rear armor. Please don't turn around in full view of the enemy!!! Reversing through the woods will be fine. Saros fucked around with this message at 16:32 on May 24, 2019 |

tldr: They are pushing with just a few guys in close, but they have SMGs so it can still be bloody. Their largest force is still off in the east a little. I *think* we are winning the firefight in the riverbend but it's hard to tell. I think they might try run some guys up the middle where the Tiger whacked them last time as there is what looks like the guy who tried to grenade the Tiger in the woods just south of the riverbend and this might convince them it's safe there. Not much infantry available to counter this but the Tiger could find a position it can see the same spots as last time and if they try it again be able to whack them down, again. Close ups of our final positions and their sightlines would be appreciated, would be good to see if my south stragglers are able to defend if the enemy infiltrates to the north. Orders: You are free to fight units in contact as you see fit, overriding these general orders.

Kampfgruppe orders Continue laying down maximum fire. If you have an appx location for enemy troops, light it up. Only two changes. 1) Popete, get the Tiger into position to fire 3-4 HE shells and MG bursts into the MGs on the island just north of town. Exercise caution, so buttoning up way be wise. Once you've silenced their MGs, head to the farm town center and act as a pillbox to deny the enemy the chance to cross either ford or set up a base of fire to shoot into town. 2) Everyone check your cover and dispersion status. I expect arty will be falling in the next 5-10 minutes, so don't be in the open and don't get bunched up.

Popete posted:I'd be reversing away from the enemy back into town. I'm facing north near that small tree patch currently. Mind throwing in a pause at the start? The Tiger can see the enemy MG team in front of it right now (the one trying to kill the commander) and it might lose sight if it moves. It was shooting MG at these guys at the very end of the last minute.

Summary: Lol, this is going to the time limit, which is insane. They are making their final rush and it's wild; the number of guys they are pushing into the woods NE of town surprised me. We're holding them off okay, but it's a substantial rush. The flank infiltration are paltry and shouldn't be an issue unless we get some real bad luck or dumb AI stuff... The tiger won't unbutton because of the MG fire, but it was mostly safe last minute so it should be more effective; it has 6 or 7 HE rounds left. I think we're positioned pretty well for the final defense, but this is coming down very even to the end (except for the Tiger). They are spotting to use their final artillery so that will be fun. Bloody hell that's a lot of dudes, is it all infantry or are they throwing HQ units and support guys at us. With the HMG breaking and nobody else in a good position I don't think we can hold the town edge. We need the Tiger to support us right now or they will over-run us.

Are those spotting rounds landing around the north? Maybe we should abandon the trench and foxholes. We could take positions in the trench to the south of us before we get pasted by artillery.

Popete I don't think you can see much from the position you have picked, and can you please put some contingencies or allow Glyn to maneuver the tiger instead of very basic "go here, try do this" orders with no flexibility. We have very little idea how the firefight will evolve over the next three minutes and there's a good chance the Tiger spends most of it achieving nothing with the current orders.

Orders for the Kampfgruppe Infantry commanders. Adjust your TARGET commands to hit the new Russian positions. Hold position. The only moves you can/should make are to increase dispersion or get into better cover. Tank commander. Engage the Russians in the NW forest. They are the biggest threat and they must be destroyed before they can get a foothold into the village. Popete posted:Tiger orders Two issues: 1) LOS is limited from this position. You might have better luck moving to the bright green fields. This would let you enfilade the lane between the houses and the forest that the Russians will need to cross to assault our houses. 2) The Russians have a platoon(+) in that forest. That is an ideal target for your remaining 88mm HE rounds. Pour 'em in there! You can use the TARGET BRIEFLY command* to spread your shots out at different points in the forest. *for glynn's purposes, you need to tie a target briefly command to a waypoint, make a short move to a new waypoint and tie a new target briefly command to that waypoint, etc.

# ? Jun 1, 2019 02:44 |
Which green field do you mean? The position I picked should give the Tiger good coverage of the open lane between the woods and the north eastern houses of the town.
