precision posted:All the talk about Game of Thrones was literal product placement. Remember how some episodes started with "this episode contains paid advertising" or whatever? I can't think of anything that could be referring to other than the GoT references I forget which episodes had that disclaimer but it was only a couple. I have a feeling it was the Sony references/devices, which seemed deliberate for no other reason than product placement. At least the Game of Thrones thing was used for a joke and seemed more or less in character, like all the Coors Johnny drinks. edit: I think last season even had a PS Vita shown at one point This is the first show I've seen with a product placement message at the start. That was nice of Youtube to do. I don't think last season had that?

I'm surprised there hasn't been a scene yet where Johnny plays Karate Kid on NES.

Johnny googling "how to make legs work again" was my favorite part.

Sand Monster posted:Fun fact: Ralph Macchio is older in this series than Pat Morita was playing Mr. Miyagi in the first film. I like how this was actually a line in season 3. edit: PeterCat posted:So the character of Daniel Larusso is younger than Mr. Miyagi was but Ralph Machio is older than Pat Morita was. Maybe they retconned it just to use that factoid... wa27 fucked around with this message at 01:39 on Jan 26, 2021 |
