We can't afford to be wrapped up in purity tests. It's crucial that we re-elect President Maduro - we will push him left after the election.

At the time that the Slavery Abolition Act of 1833 was passed, chattel slavery was ended, and the 46,000 slaveowners in Britain and its colonies were compensated for "property" loss.[29] Some scholars stated that British Guinea used more fixed capital per slave than other colonies, like use of large boiling-houses and steam engines.[33]

tbf it is extremely funny that the west burned 90% of the world's carbon budget to accumulate unimaginable wealth that they refuse to share and now turns around and scolds poor countries for wanting to burn the remaining 10% to accumulate their own wealth, because tsk tsk it's bad for the environment don't you know, I am very smart I went to Oxbridge I'm reminded of how Ecuador appealed to the international community for some kind of equivalent funding that would mean they wouldn't have to extract a huge oil discovery, and everyone else just ignored them

https://twitter.com/callodehacha/status/1775581868638761429 Just a video from 6 months ago where Xochitl's son, coordinator of the Youth Group of the PRI, is not only a drunk, but a violent, classist, misoginist drunk IN PUBLIC. It was fun seeing all the neolib rightist trolls from the PRIAN try to excuse it with "He's just 17!" when it turns out he's going to turn 27 years old in May. Wonder what other poo poo comes out, since the guy who published it originally says he's got more stuff to show tomorrow.

Can’t believe he was actually telling that bouncer “ponte huevos,” anyone in Polanco wouldve absolutely beaten the poo poo out of this guy. also the Xóchi supporters are trying to spin this as some sort of W that he actually took accountability (????) and stepped down lol and how AMLO and his kids would never do this. i say swears online posted:it was complicated so when southwest added caribbean and central american flights i just went to mexico instead of havana As a tourist it was actually really simple, you had your dollar equivalent, CUC, that you used for everything (and take like a 20% haircut on, so 5 dollars got you 4 CUC) and even places that price in CUP were happy to take the CUC at the official exchange rate. Then when you go to the museum or whatever, non-residents pay CUC and residents pay CUP, so they upcharge the tourists 20x.

What stops Mexico from retaliating by arresting the Ecuadorian diplomatic staff (since effectively diplomatic immunity is gone here) and forcing an exchange?
