That said, solo is viable with everything but probably easiest with a relatively sturdy DPS character, like a Brute or Scrapper, or maybe a Sentinel, PB, Soldier, or MM. I'd say the latter ones are all "good soloers", but they involve a bit more game knowledge if you're totally new.

I'm running a Dark/Storm Corr right now and it's a blast. The natural -Acc on Dark attacks make it much easier to survive.

that said blasters aren't much easier to solo on than brutes. you're gonna rely heavily on bulldozing everyone with horrible AoE spam before they can hit you, range doesn't really enter into it

your brute really shouldn't be very squishy, maybe your build is shonky? what elec armor powers have you taken?

Sets have a natural level range. 25-50, 10-20, 15-40, etc. Attuned sets act at your level, or their max, which ever is lower. They allow your set bonuses to level down with you when you team for lower level content. Exemplaring down, your sets shift to your new level, so do a level 25 Tf like Penelope Yin's on your level 50, with all level 50 sets, you lose your set bonuses. Do the same with all Attuned Sets, you keep all your set bonuses. Also, you may not know this, but you can stack up to 5 copies of a set. I bring that up because you have a different set in each power there when you could specialize your set bonuses toward one goal, like recharge, or more defense.

momentum is a 5-second buff you get after one of your TW attacks connects. as long as momentum is up, you get the fast animations for your TW attacks, instead of the slow ones. nothing refreshes momentum except the set's Build Up variant, which adds 10 seconds to your current momentum, including if it was at 0.

so outside of the buildup, you're essentially looking at having to do a long animation, followed by a flurry of short animations, then another long animation, every five seconds or so

two of the TW attacks have no "long" variant - they only work while momentum is on

invuln is kind of bad, iirc, you may get stuck in the endurance doldrums around 35, but that's fixable

Re: Endurance issues- you can mitigate a lot of them by slotting specific enhancements into your health and stamina passives. I'm just going to quote myself here.

If this is your first character on homecoming though it's unlikely you have the resources to get these enhancements. I'd be happy to hook you up with some and/or a small pile of influence if you like, assuming you're playing on Homecoming - Excelsior.

I'd like to reiterate that the most important thing in this game imo is being invested in your character. I don't remember how many characters I made before I settled on my Arachnos Soldier as my first main. Once I got him to end game just playing the game made me millions of influence which I could then use to enhance up any future characters I became interested in building. I played COH as a kid but I don't think I ever got much higher than the 20s since I didn't really understand what was going on back then. If you like it and you're having fun with it, then stick with it. You can make a million more characters later if you want to.

They actually did nerf Hasten. The changes that have been made to how procs activate have made Hasten unnecessary for a lot of classes and builds. The more recharge you put in a build the less likely procs will activate, so now a lot of elite tier builds eschew recharge bonuses completely.

The only AT it's absolutely necessary are Dominators.

Oh, the Mercy Island AE building burned down due to fire farms. (The Atlas Park AE lost their lease, so folks will actually have to zone transition at least once before getting power leveled to 50). Also, once you hit 50, no more XP from AE unless you're in a Dev Choice arc.
