Yeah, I doubt anyone's going to claim Horizon is a stealth game because you can hide in a patch of grass.

Still I think stealth will be a big factor, but its not the main aspect of the game.

I loved every single moment of MGS4 and I'd be lying to myself if I said otherwise.

The only bad thing was it had to end.

In PW theres a similar scene but literally everyone from Motherbase shows up to save Boss.

Peace Walker was really good.

I’ve never heard the rumors that Kojima was upset with Hayter, where does that come from?

I hardly doubt it.

The whole MGSV situation imho is entirely because Kojima wanted to work with actual actors and use their faces for mocap etc. (Which they did, Snake's face is mocapped by Kiefer)

Obviously in case of MGSV it had very little benefit because Snake is a character with his own established appearance and had very little dialogue.

Now that Kojima doesnt have to care about MGS lore he can put that mocap tech into full use with his celeb buddies.

Norman Reedus has appeared in other video games right?

It's kinda weird if we start seeing celebrities appearing in multiple game franchises. Even RE2 / DMC5 used celebrities / models for its characters.

What are the chances that Death Stranding has a fishing minigame.

Because I would love that poo poo. I should replay FFXV just for the fishing.

Hmm. That protective suit is not designed for harsh environmental conditions as it is still in an experimental stage. Perhaps rain or submerging it in water would be enough to cause a malfunction.

As much asI want to play this, I’ll at least wait for reviews between the slim and pro. If the game chugs even on a Pro, I might be okay waiting for a PS5 or PC port. How important the asymmetric multiplayer is will be a factor too. Like I missed out on Dark Souls at release and I’m sure it was crazy different and more fun then. If the multiplayer is super minor, then I can lean towards waiting.

I hate console exclusives that bridge (lol) gen gaps. MGS5 avoided this with a PC version.

Even 5 had to make a lot of cuts since it's a ps3 game

Based on what I've seen the game's not that performance intensive. The graphics are incredible but the world is pretty desolate and the action stuff is probably pretty contained in smaller setpieces.

Yeah, in one of the interviews Kojima said something along the lines of there's no traditional game over. Even if you die the game continues which sounds pretty fun if done right, since restarting always kills the immersion a bit.

Sounds to me like people think reading about the game is same as actually playing it.

I want to know what these predicted Sekiro's metacritic score as because it has no Souls RPG or online features and therefore it must be bad because it's clearly a lesser game.

What exactly does/did Shinkawa contribute to DS and MGS before? I know he's done concept art for them but I'm assuming there's more to it then that?

Shinkawa is more or less responsible for all the character and mech designs in the entire series.

I love how Shinkawa's art is so iconic that he can make anything look cool.

Including that Left Alive game no one apparently liked.

A standalone coop mode for Death Stranding would be pretty amazing.

You could for example play as a generic freelance porter and team up with friends to deliver cargo. And if your friend gets hurt, you have to carry him to prevent a voidout. (Because it attracts BTs or something)

I think it's funny how this game has some familiar plot beats like

The antagonist is the president who killed your parent(s) but is also your adoptive parent.

Also has anyone tried what the Hide Spoilers menu option actually does?
